It's ladies night out! Karaoke to the max with my UCPB friends @ centrestage. I will surely miss our spur of the moment get-together. We decided to continue our karaoke same day next week;-).

AVATAR - A MUST SEE MOVIE!

I really have no plans on watching the Avatar movie, but the fiasco has finally made me march to the moviehouse with a friend.  And I’m really glad I was presuaded to watch the movie.

I like the story – the possibility of having other world with actual living creatures such as the planet of Pandora.   I like its message that we are goverened by one divine being- Eywa for the Na’vi and its very important moral on preserving the environment.  I was like knocked-out on its implications that we homo sapiens are greedy, but having a deeper thought---- we are really greedy!  Let’s take a classic example of owning a land on the moon!  HAH!

A great movie with a deep message, I just hope everybody gets the meaning.

Apostolic Preacher in town to preside over clergy meet

Fleur Centeno (f_centeno@ngl.com.ph) has sent you a Yahoo! Philippines News article
------------------------------------------------------------
Personal message:

What a better way to have a retreat than to be preached by an apostolic preacher, Fr. Raniero Cantalamessa - the only one who's allowed to preach to our Holy See.

I will definitely miss my weekday mass, but I support and pray for the success of this 2nd National Congress of the Clergy.

Way to go

Momma Gump was so right - Life really is like a box of chocolates, you’ll never know what you’re gonna get.

Now, after months of waiting, I have found a new path that could take me somewhere but Philippines.  Waiting for my visa to finally get out of the country.

I’m having mixed emotions:
·         Excited to explore new country, feel the new weather (will totally experience snow!)
·         Diffident to start from scratch – career wise
·         Sad to leave the comfort of living with my mother (with her home-cooked meals & very caring nature), my ever   supportive sisters and cute niece; and the company of my friends
·         Afraid to mingle with total strangers (I am migrating to foreign land, whether I accept it or not, I belong to the minority).

Being a fighter that I am, the odds are good that I could conquer and be successful wherever I am.  The optimistic side of me is kicking in.  And I like It J

Parting & Meeting Again

I'm now heading home from my shopping spree. This complete change of wardrobe will leave me to the ditch. My pocket is crying.

On the brighter side, I think I should invest in my clothes...just hope that it will lead me to greater success. Hmmm, thinking like Sophie Kinsela's shopaholic lady- Rebecca Bloomwood;-)

Ducks in Heaven -- Have a good laugh

DUCKS IN HEAVEN !!!

Three women die together in an accident
  and go to heaven.

When they get there, St. Peter say
'We only have one rule here in heaven:

    Don't step on the
ducks!'

So they enter heaven, and sure enough,

There are ducks all over the place.

It is almost impossible not to step on a duck,

And although they try their best to avoid them,

The first woman accidentally steps on one.

Along comes St. Peter with the ugliest man she ever saw.

St. Peter chains them together and says,

“Your punishment for stepping on a duck is to

spend eternity chained to this ugly man!”

The next day,
 the second woman steps
accidentally on a duck

Along comes St. Peter,  who doesn't miss a thing.

With him is another extremely ugly man.

He chains them together  with the same admonishment
as for the first woman.

The third woman has observed all this and,
not wanting to be chained  for all eternity to an ugly man, is very,
VERY careful where she steps.

She manages to go months

without stepping on any
ducks,
but one day St.Peter comes up to her with the most handsome man she has ever laid eyes on
....
Very tall, long eyelashes, muscular.

St. Peter chains them together without saying a word.

The happy woman says,

“I wonder what I did to deserve being
Chained to you for all of eternity?”

The guy says,

                             “I don't know about you,

But I stepped on a Duck.”
