I love baby showers

What is a better way to welcome a tiny little angel than to help his/her mother in the future birth of the child.  Normally, only women attend baby showers but we do this differently.  We invite all our collegues, men and women, to this very special celebration, aside from the fact that they get to share in the bill  :-)
On 20 August 2009, NGL pips willingly share in this joyous celebration, baby shower for Khloe Angelette Jardinado.  One of the thing I would enjoy most is the camaraderie that such celebration brings.
There were so many things to considered, from choosing the venue, all criteria met, ample space to have a simple games and the most important criterion--- should be affordable ...Best bet was North Park

Thoough we're expecting our friends/collegues to join the baby shower, we wanted to have the best food we could munch on.  This is the forte of Ms Liza and Cam, they choose the food.  And oh btw, the cupcakes were divine, thanks to Carmi's sister.  For these particular goodies, looks cannot be deceiving, they were as delicious as they were lovely to at...
Our collegues joined hands to make this simple place with an idyllic atmosphere.  We were the advance party and we had fun doing the chores of decorating our venue...

Creative hands....come out!  come out!

We're set... waiting for the guests to arrive...

Celle and Jade, they've become inseparable now.

Here comes the celebrated mom...

What better way to party than to have games.  I love party games, it breaks the ice, it encourages cooperation and interaction between players and brings out the most satisfying smiles to all the guests.
Party games are fun but coupled with my colleagues' humor, the party was hilarious...
And now--- what most of our guests were actually waiting for--- the dinner tables were set...munch mucnh munch...
After everyone had their fill, we proceed with the the party proper... SHOWERING Anna and Khloe with gifts...
See Mommy Anna's glowing face...
Pack up time.  The closing part---group pic!
Time to go home...Whew, great party!
I do hope I could get straight home...but no, after this party, I met with my other friends...So tiring day!

I Don't Damn Care

I was watching this late local entertainment news when Ruffa (a local celebrity) said-- "I perfected the art of playing deadma" -- or something like that.  I just love what she said.  But sorry to say I have mastered that particular  'art' as well.

Being a cancerrian woman, I am sympathetic, to the extent of being sensitive.  As a result, I get easily irritated.  Not that I hold grudges that long, someone might hurt me emotionally and you could see laughing with that someone in no time.  But believe me if I say, I really hate those feeling.  I wanted to have a smooth relationship with everyone around me, I have devised this thing --- totally ignore comments/things that I know could hurt me.  I know how people could be cruel and unmindful of what they are saying--- I resolved not to react-- at least I won't have to hurt other people back.  It's plus point for me and minus point for her/him...  I am sowing what I would like ro reap, not in this life but in LIFE EVERLASTING!

Goodbye President Corazon Aquino

1 August 2009- The Philippine's beloved former President joined our Savior in her final resting place.

People gathered to have a glimpse of Pres. Cory's remains. Filipinos used to name our former President Tita Cory.
Yuppies and loyal supporters alike, paused from their work and paid their respect by lining up at Ayala Avenue stretch or looking down from their buildings.

I know most people who were at Ayala Avenue just had a vague memory of what really transpired before and during the reign of Tita Cory. We were only educated with books and documentaries we see, and I am very proud to say....

Once in our lifetime, a woman stood for all the Filipinos. Armed not with ammunitions but with the power no person could overthrow--faith and love of God and for the people.

Goodbye Tita Cory and Thank you for the gift you so willingly handed down to every Filipino generation...Democracy.
We will try to uphold what you have started!
